Update Freezer 是一款可關閉 Windows 及所有軟體自動更新的工具，簡單易用，支援 Windows XP/Vista//7/8。這款免費軟體一開啟就會顯示 Windows 作業系統及所有會自動更新的軟體是否開啟自動更新的功能。如果反白之處是在 Enabled，那就表示該軟體的自動更新功能是開啟的，此時就可以按 Disabled 將其關閉。若要一鍵關閉 Windows 及所有軟體的自動更新，那麼就按 Disable All，或是按 Restore All，將所有關閉的自動更新還原。此外，各軟體的自動更新功能並不完全一樣，有些軟體還可讓您選擇 Not Set (未設定)、Notify Only (僅通知該軟體有新版本，既不下載更新檔也不會自動更新)、Download Only (只會下載更新檔，不會自動更新) 等等。
Update Freezer 可以關閉或開啟 Windows 以及 Adobe Acrobat、Adobe Reader、Adobe Flash、Apple、Mozilla (Firefox、Seamonkey、Thunderbird 等)、Google (Gears、Chrome、Earth、Picasa 等)、Java、Skype、Notepad++、Opera 等安裝版軟體的自動更新。若按軟體名稱所提供的連結，如 Apple，Update Freezer 還會開啟一個新的網頁，讓使用者查看與關閉該軟體自動更新的相關說明。
Update Freezer is a free and simple tool that helps to temporarily disable different kinds of automatic software updates on Windows. You can download and use it completely for free. The software package has no bloatware, advertising or any other kind of bundled software.
We do recommend having all critical software updates switched on. We totally support this rule. However there are some situations when you need an exception to this rule.
